Android can read Hindi font


Hindi reading method in opera mini
1 - First install latest version of "Opera Mini" on Android powered tablet or phone which is available free on Android Market. Otherwise go to official site of opera. (Read about Opera Mini & download)
2 - After that  go to address bar & type opera:config & nothing should have www or http://.
3. Then come to the menu & at its end see "use bitmap fonts for complex scripts". No sentence will be written in front of. You change it to Yes.
4.  Save it.
Now Open any Hindi site and see hindi font on your mobile / tablet instead of square font.

Install Hindi font (including all Indian language) as system font -Click here( Only for Advance users)

  9. I have updated the settings as specified above but still the problems remains the same. The hindi fonts appear as boxes as usual. Please can you help me out. i am using HTC desire S Mobile whcih has android 2.3 version

  12. What version of Opera did you download? I downloaded the Opera Web 11.0 on my HoneyComb Tablet and couldn't find the setting

  19. Awesome...thanks for that. I had bought Asus Transformer TF300T but Gujarati could not be read. After downloading Opera Mini and following your simple instructions there is no noeed to root the tablet. Gujarati, Hindi and many Indian languages can be read easily. I did the same even on my phone LG300. Many thanks...
